Luke 16:14-18
While the pharisees scoffed at the Lord’s teaching, Jesus was already aware of what was in their hearts. Their superficial piety was driven by their greed and love for money. And because of this they rejected John’s message of the gospel of the kingdom of God, continuing instead to interpret the Law incorrectly despite the fact that God’s words are infallible.
