Scripture: Acts 1:1-5
Luke writes to an honorable individual named Theophilus a second time to follow up on his first writing which was known as the Gospel of Luke. This is the continuation of what Jesus did and taught during His earthly ministry. He mentions the resurrection of Jesus Christ as convincing proof of the Kingdom of God and the anchor to all that follows written in the Book of Acts. Our author also introduces the Holy Spirit, the One who continues the work and causes the growth in the church.
