Luke 20:41-44
Jesus has just dealt with three different questions from the religious elite, all designed to trap and incriminate Him. They want Him to admit He is God (considered blasphemy) and therefore have a pretense on which to execute Him. However, Jesus dodges their schemes with answers that stun them into silence. Now, He turns the tables and asks them a question, a question which still resonates today. Jesus makes the answer clear. How we handle the answer will determine our eternal destiny.
