1 Corinthians 1:1-3
In his salutation, Paul identifies himself to be an apostle by the will of God, and also mentions Sosthenes, his brother in the faith. The church of God at Corinth was the recipient of this and he describes them as those who are sanctified – saints by the calling of Christ, and he blessed them with grace and peace.
