If I Must Boast

Paul boasted about his weaknesses reluctantly, and he did this to defend his apostolic authority. He countered the claims of the false apostles who boast about their counterfeit spiritual power and authority by first revealing his sufferings and weaknesses and then he continued with a profound but humbling vision that he received from the Lord Jesus fourteen years ago. This was not something he was proud of, but he did it to show that true spiritual strength comes from God’s power made perfect in human weakness.
