Men pursuing Christlike maturity through Scripture, prayer, and brotherly fellowship.
Men of the Word exists to strengthen men in their walk with Christ and equip them to be faithful leaders in the home, the church, and the community. Our aim is to deepen our love for Scripture and dependence on Christ so that we may grow as husbands, fathers, and brothers in the faith.
We gather monthly, typically on the third Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, for what feels like a “mini-conference.” Each meeting includes a time of singing, robust teaching on key Christian themes, and breakout groups for deeper discussion and application. Series are often topical, focusing on men’s issues, such as studying the lives of pivotal male figures in the Bible or confronting sins that men often tend to ignore.
Breakfast and lunch are served, and the fellowship is as encouraging as the teaching. Men of the Word is open to all male members of GFC, ages 18 and up, as well as their invited guests. Pre-registration is required through our church administration. It is a time to be sharpened by the Word of God, encouraged by brothers in Christ, and equipped to live faithfully in every sphere of life.
