Luke 22:39-46
It’s night. The last supper has concluded. Jesus is in the garden of Gethsemane with His disciples. With His betrayal at hand, Jesus retreats to a quiet spot to pray. His anguish is palpable, His pain deep and profound, for He is about to drink the cup of the wrath of the Father. And what He prays in the garden is one of the hardest things Jesus ever prayed – an example for all believers of what it means to truly wrestle and submit to God in prayer.
