1 Corinthians 4:6-13
The apostle Paul is fighting back against a prevalent attitude of pride in the Corinthian church. A pride that has led to factions and the unbiblical elevation of church leaders among the congregation. Furthermore, it seems that pride was giving them delusions of spiritual richness and wisdom that clearly they did not possess. They needed a heart check. And Paul gave it to them, in a sharp rebuke designed to bring them back to reality and give them the right perspective as a congregation of God.
